About the artist...
Christina Kent (b. 1993, Houston, Texas) is a figurative painter working primarily in oils. Rooted in an inquiry-based approach to seeing, Kent’s figurative oil paintings reflect the quiet subtleties of daily life. Her work has been exhibited at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Northern California Art, and numerous galleries throughout the Bay Area and across the U.S. Kent was awarded the Emerging Artist Award from Pence Gallery and has participated in both domestic and international artist residencies, including Chalk Hill in Sonoma, California, and Pouch Cove in Newfoundland, Canada. Kent currently lives and works in San Francisco, California.
